The Russian “Sputnik” agency said on Sunday that the unannounced meeting hosted by Morocco today between Parliament Speaker Aqila Saleh and the President of the Supreme Council of State Khalid Al-Mishri came after coordination and an invitation from the Moroccan side, even though Chancellor Aqila Saleh is no longer in his position as head of Parliament.
“Sputnik” revealed, from its sources, the details of Saleh and Al-Mishri’s meeting in Morocco today, which it said aims to discuss the new road map, and discuss the controversial points that prevented consensus on holding the elections.
“Sputnik” sources confirmed that the meeting was carried out in secrecy due to Saleh not returning to his post so far in the Presidency of the House of Representatives, in addition to the desire to achieve an initial understanding between the two parties to hold expanded meetings during the coming period.
It is reported that a special source confirmed to Arraed that a meeting took place yesterday, Saturday, in Morocco, between Aqila Saleh and Khalid Al-Mishri, in the presence of Belqassem Haftar and Mustafa Qaddour, during which several opinions related to the Constitution and Elections Committee were discussed without reaching a specific result.
