The House of Representatives summons the commission to hear what was stated in its report on the postponement of the elections.

The House of Representatives decided, on Monday, to summon the president and members of the High Electoral Commission; To listen to what was stated in the Parliamentary Committee’s report on the follow-up to the electoral process.

In a statement at the conclusion of its session today, the Council affirmed the continuation of the work of the roadmap committee formed by it. In order to draw a new road map for the next phase and communicate with all concerned parties

The Council indicated that it had listened to reports related to the problems that faced the electoral process, and that it was not possible to hold the elections on time, including reports of a confidential nature such as the report of the General Intelligence and the report of the Ministry of Interior.

The Council indicated that it had not been addressed by the commission about the request to change the date of the elections to January 24 until today’s date.

In a related context, the Council considered the British ambassador a “unwanted person” after her recent statements regarding support for the government, indicating that it would issue a decision in this regard.
