Al-Tabalqi: Announcing the postponement of the elections is a technical matter for the Commission.

Member of Parliament, Aisha Al-Tabalqi, said in a statement to Arraed on Sunday that the parliament will hold a session on December 27; To discuss the obstacles that caused the postponement of the elections, denying the holding of a session tomorrow, Monday.

Al-Tabalqi confirmed that the announcement of the postponement of the elections is a technical matter for the commission, and it must come out and announce it, adding that the parliament is not at the core of its work to announce the postponement of the elections, and that its work is to issue,discuss and amend laws.

In a related context, Al-Tabalqi said that the commission is supposed to propose to the House of Representatives 3 new dates for holding the elections, after which the parliament will choose one of them for the election date.

It is worth noting that the head of the High National Elections Commission, Imad al-Sayeh, said, in a statement to Anadolu Agency, that the commission does not have any technical problem in holding the elections on time, noting that the parliament is the one who announces the postponement of the elections.
