The Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board “DEIK” announced that Turkish exports to Libya amounted to $2.2 billion in the first 11 months of this year.
According to a statement issued by the council, the value of these exports last November alone amounted to $247 million, an increase of 87% compared to the same month of 2020.
The council stated that Turkish exports to Libya have grown by 64%, compared to the same period last year.
The council indicated that jewelry, furniture, paper products, chemicals and their products, grains, nuts and oilseeds were the top Turkish exports last November.
The head of the Turkish-Libyan Business Council, Morteza Kronfel, said that the volume of trade between the two countries is constantly increasing, indicating that his country can contribute to meeting the demand of the Libyan market, stressing the need to support Libya to make it a productive and self-sufficient country through the investments in which Turkish businessmen work, according to him.
It is worth noting that Turkish exports to Libya last year reached nearly one billion dollars, recording 937 million dollars.
