The deputy Speaker of Parliament, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, said that they are checking what was reported by the media about their amendment of the Judicial Law.
Al-Nuwairi added – through statements to local media – that they were not sure of the existence of a session on August 20, 2019, in which the law was amended, where the head of the judicial inspection is appointed as the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, and that the attorney general is his deputy, after the chief of the Supreme Court was in charge this position.
On Monday, the media published a decision by the House of Representatives to activate the aforementioned decisions that have been pending since 2019.
