Member of Parliament, Aisha Al-Tabalqi, confirmed, in a statement to Arraed, on Sunday, that they are still waiting for the parliament’s presidency to hold an accountability session for the head of the Electoral Commission today, Monday.
Al-Tabalqi said that the council will look into the violations of the Electoral Commission and the judiciary in the procedures of the electoral process, adding that there are suspicious operations and fraud that occurred and we want accountability for them, pointing out that they will discuss with the Electoral Commission and the judiciary the final list of candidates before it is issued.
In a related context, the member of the House of Representatives clarified that Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbaiba has no right to run for office, and he signed a pledge not to run.
It is worth noting that 72 members of the House of Representatives called for a session, today Monday; to hold the Head of the Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, accountable, and representatives of the institutions supervising the security and judicial process.
