Turkish-Libyan Business Council: Bilateral trade volume will exceed $3 billion for the first time.

The head of the Turkish-Libyan Business Council at the Council on Foreign Economic Relations, Morteza Kronfel, said that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries increased by 43% during the past two years.

This came in a statement issued by the Council on Foreign Economic Relations on the occasion of the second anniversary of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Turkey and Libya.

Kronfel stressed that the two countries have made progress in several fields, especially economic, commercial, political and military, thanks to the memorandum of understanding that is in the interest of the two countries and their peoples, noting that the agreement is of great importance in terms of national security, economy and other fields.

In a related context, Kronfel pointed out the importance of Libya, and that it is the first foreign market for Turkish contractors, for the Turkish economy, adding that the volume of bilateral trade will exceed $3 billion for the first time by the end of this year.
