Khalifa Haftar is waging a secret campaign against the Qadadfa tribe, to which Muammar Gaddafi belongs, especially after Saif submitted papers to run for the presidential elections.
And while Haftar lost the February movement within his Alkarama movement, Haftar is now facing the loss of the followers of the previous regime, which empties Alkarama movement from any social content and cramps it in the corner of the family and the narrow tribe that gathers around Haftar.
Haftar besieges Qadadfa
The head of the Qadadfa Social Council, Mohamed Khalifa bin Nayel, confirmed that Haftar’s militia prevented delegations and notables of the tribe in the city of Sirte from receiving any delegations from other tribes, and added in a press interview that they issued a statement in which they condemn this act, stressing the solidarity of all the tribes of Sirte with them and rejecting the ban in all Social circles, indicating that they are still making efforts to resume visits, and that many tribes are invited to visit them.
The Supreme Council of the Tribes of the Libyan West issued a statement last October denouncing the directives issued by the militias of Khalifa Haftar to prevent the Qadadfa tribe from receiving popular delegations for the purpose of congratulating the departure of a number of members of the former regime who were recently released in Tripoli.
On the other hand, according to reliable sources, Haftar refused requests to release dozens of young people from the Qadadfa tribe who were arrested by his militia in Sirte after taking control of the city in 2020.
Haftar’s threat to Sebha’s security director
The head of the Supreme Council of Libyan Tribes and Cities in the southern region, Ali Misbah Abu Sbeiha, criticized the storming of the Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade, affiliated with Haftar, to the Sebha Security Directorate and the headquarters of the Commission there; To arrest the city’s security director, Mohamed Bishir.
Abu Sbeiha asked, on his Facebook page, about the crime or violation committed by “Bishir” so that the Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade stormed the Directorate and the Commission in the evening to search for him and arrest him? What is their legitimacy?
Arrest warrants for the security director of Sebha
The director of Sebha security, Amid Mohammed Bishir, said that Al Karama Operations Room in the south issued an arrest warrant against him, after Saif Gaddafi submitted his candidacy file for the presidential elections to the HNEC office in Sebha, stressing that his job is to secure the polling stations,

Saif Gaddafi submitted his candidacy papers for the elections at the Electoral Administration Office in the city of Sebha, located in southwest Libya.
The High Electoral Commission in Libya announced, in a statement, that Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi submitted his candidacy documents, “completing all the legal formulations” stipulated under Law No. 1 issued by the House of Representatives regarding the election of the head of state.
