The Joint Military Committee 5 + 5 representatives of Haftar announced on Thursday the start of the process of evacuating mercenaries and foreign fighters in Haftar’s control areas as a first batch of 300 mercenaries.
According to the committee’s statement, this agreement came at a French request, without being bound by the previously agreed simultaneous exit condition.
It is worth noting that Haftar has always denied the presence of mercenaries or foreign forces fighting with him, or that he brought them present to Libya.
