The American newspaper, The Intercept, said that the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is still investigating the involvement of Blackwater founder Eric Prince in an attempt to sell Jordanian military equipment in 2019 as part of a plan to help Khalifa Haftar.
The newspaper added – according to its official website – that federal investigators began last summer to investigate Prince’s involvement in the sale of military helicopters and weapons to overthrow the legitimate government in Libya in 2019.
The American newspaper confirmed that the “FBI” office sought permission from the British government to conduct an interview with a British army general who, while working as an advisor to the King of Jordan, investigated and helped stop the sale of arms and shipments to Libya.
The Intercept added that FBI agents are investigating Prince’s role in marketing a modified agricultural aircraft with the aim of using it militarily in conflicts around the world, and it was supposed to use more of these aircraft in a greater effort to help Haftar control Tripoli.
The newspaper indicated that “Prince” constantly tried to help transport planes and other materials from Jordan to Libya, which included arranging meetings with a member of the National Security Council of former President “Donald Trump”, but Jordanian government officials stopped the deal, as he worked with Jordanian Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein to arrange the sale and transfer of arms.
