Al-Urfi: All the observations sent by the commission on the presidential and parliamentary elections laws have been addressed and will be sent tomorrow.

Member of Parliament Abdul Moneim Al-Urfi said, in a statement to Arraed on Sunday, that all the technical observations sent by the commission were addressed in the presidential election law, and the reason for the delay is the drafting of the law, and it will be sent to the commission today or tomorrow.

Al-Urfi added that the parliament session tomorrow will be public, and the observations sent by the commission will be read and included, whether in the law on the election of the president or the law on the election of the House of Representatives, and will be finalized and referred.

Al-Urfi indicated that when the commission sent technical observations on the president’s election law, it requested deleting the equivalent from the parliament elections law, which is not in line with the context of the law, and it was deleted and amended, whether in the parliamentary or presidential elections law, according to him.

Al-Urfi indicated that the Internal Security Law is ready, and he can be voted on it in tomorrow’s session, in addition to the Law on Unifying State Salaries.

It is noteworthy that the head of the Electoral Commission, Imad al-Sayeh, said, in a press conference on Monday, that the timetable for implementing the electoral process has not yet been completed, and is awaiting the technical amendments required from the House of Representatives, explaining that if discussions on the amendments are completed, they will announce a timetable for the presidential and parliamentary processes, and we will see then whether the commission is able to implement the elections on December 24, or does it need more time? According to him.
