The final statement of the “Supporting Libya’s Stability” conference stresses the need to hold elections on time.

The Libya Stability Support Conference stressed, on Thursday, the importance of taking the necessary measures and procedures to hold fair and transparent elections on December 24.

In the final statement of the conference, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Manqoush, said that the government is committed to the safety of Libya, categorically rejects foreign interference, and condemns the violation of the decision to prevent arms exports to Libya.

Al-Manqoush affirmed the government’s commitment to the outcomes of the Berlin Forum, the political road map, and Security Council resolutions, stressing support for the efforts of the 5 + 5 Committee in the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

The statement welcomed the return of the work of embassies of countries from inside the capital, Tripoli.
