Member of the Parliament Committee for Electoral Legislation, Moftah Kwaider, told Arraed, on Wednesday, that the Election Commission does not have the right to request an amendment to the presidential election law.
Kwaider confirmed that the Parliament issued a law to elect the president, and it became effective, and it was referred to the Commission, and it must implement it only, explaining that there is no need for the amendments requested by the Election Commission.
Kwaider added that the Parliament will present the House of Representatives election law next week for discussion, and it will be issued within two weeks, indicating that he was not aware of any meetings that will be held in Morocco between the State Council and the Parliament, dedicated to discussing the presidential and parliamentary elections laws.
It is worth noting that the Parliament formed a committee of 13 deputies, to draft the articles of the House of Representatives election law.
