Member of Parliament Abdul-Ghani Al-Futaisi said on Tuesday that the procedure of withdrawing confidence from the government was invalid.
Al-Futaisi added, during a statement to Arraed, that there was a defect during an event during the counting of votes, and they were calculated in a wrong way, and the legitimate number of 86 votes was not reached.
Al-Futaisi confirmed that 36 deputies had signed not to vote for the no-confidence vote so far, which confirms that about 77 deputies voted, not 86.
It is worth noting that the House of Representatives announced, during its session, Tuesday, the withdrawal of confidence from the national unity government by a majority of 89 deputies, and considered the government a caretaker government.
