The head of the Tawargha local council, Abdul-Rahman Al-Shakshak, said that more than two thousand families have returned to Tawargha, and there are families who maintain their homes; In preparation for their return.
Al-Shakshak added, in a statement to Arraed, that most areas have electricity restored, but they need electricity poles and wires for the rest of the areas that are still without electricity, stressing the work of the offices of “Civil Registry, Post, Municipal Guard, Police, Passports, Education, Endowments, Zakat Affairs, National Center for Disease Control, Leishmania Control Center” in the city.
In a related context, Al-Shakshak confirmed the stability of the epidemiological situation in the city, and that citizens are committed to precautionary measures and keep away from gatherings that aggravate the situation, noting that they are in the process of opening an isolation center with 30 beds, fully equipped even with an oxygen factory.
Al-Shakshak explained that the city is witnessing this year a decrease in cases of “leishmania” compared to the years 2018-2019.
