The fall of a warplane and the killing of its pilot during the “military” parade of Haftar’s militias.

On Saturday, local media reported that one of the warplanes fell during the military parade of Haftar’s militia at the Benina base in Benghazi, and the death of its pilot, Jamal Bin Amer.

The sources added that the aircraft that fell during the show was a Russian-made MiG-21.

“Jamal bin Amer”, an officer with the rank of brigadier general, had escaped after his plane was shot down in Wadi al-Rabie, south of Tripoli, by Libyan army fire during Haftar’s aggression on the capital in April 2019.

It is worth noting that Haftar held a military parade on the occasion of what is known as the “Al Karama Operation”, about a year after his defeat in Tripoli in June 2020.
