On Saturday, Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Bouqadoum said that his country is making the latest logistical and technical arrangements, to open the “Al-Dabdab” border crossing with Libya.

Bouqadoum clarified – during his speech at the Algerian-Libyan Economic Forum – that the two countries are working on completing the final talks, to reopen the sea line linking Tripoli and Algeria, to exploit the transport of commodities and goods.

Bouqadoum stressed the need to encourage the flow of mutual investments and establish partnerships between the two countries.

Bouqadoum explained that Algeria’s ambition in the desired economic partnership with Libya is greater than to be limited to increasing commercial exchanges, but also to establishing mixed partnerships, and to participate in the capital of institutions and other mechanisms, according to him.

It is reported that the “Al Dabdab-Ghadames” border crossing was closed in 2014; Due to the deteriorating security situation in Libya, it was rarely opened for exceptional entry operations
