Member of Parliament Saad Al-Jazwi said in a statement to Arraed, Tuesday, that no official date has been set for the budget discussion session yet, which is supposed to be in the city of Tripoli, according to the last agreement of the members of parliament at their last meeting in Tobruk.
Al-Jazwi added that there are many parties that entered into the calculation of bargaining and linked it to the positions of sovereignty to approve the budget.
The member of parliament explained that the government’s amendments to the proposed budget did not satisfy all the points that the Finance Committee demanded to amend, pointing out that the salaries and emergency clauses are under the government’s authority and authorization but the big problem are the articles concerning projects and development which have many observations and objections.
Al-Jazwi stressed that a large group is seeking to hold the session in Tripoli, but without any clarity of any set date, and that the meeting will be to discuss the amendments that the government has made and see whether they will be approved or sent again for the amendment.
It is worth noting that on May 3, the Dbaiba government submitted the amended budget proposal to the House of Representatives.
