Turkey’s UN delegate: We call on the Security Council to establish an international protection mechanism to protect Palestinian civilians.

Turkey’s permanent representative to the UN, Feridun Senirlioglu, said Monday that the UN Security Council’s silence on the Israeli attacks in Palestine is unacceptable, wondering about the justifications for their inaction in the face of a massacre broadcast live on satellite channels.

In a statement submitted by Turkey to the UN Security Council, Senirlioglu condemned the air strikes and the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians, extending his condolences to the innocent Palestinian victims.

Senirlioglu held the Israeli government responsible for its attempts to force the Palestinians to leave their homes in East Al Quds and the West Bank during the blessed month of Ramadan, and the attack on worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, calling on the UN Security Council to put an end to the Israeli attacks immediately, and the need to establish an international protection mechanism to deter Israeli aggression, and the protection of Palestinian civilians.

It is reported that the victims of the continuous Israeli military aggression on Gaza rose to 197 martyrs on Sunday, including 58 children and 34 women, and 1,235 wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
