Private sources revealed to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed newspaper that the Chadian opposition militia with Haftar’s militia refused to leave their locations in Sirte and Al-Jufra to other places in southern Libya before receiving their financial dues.
The sources confirmed to the newspaper that Haftar is facing great difficulties in his attempt to evacuate the city of Sirte in accordance with the agreement of the Military Commission, and that the 604 militia also refuses to leave their locations as they are from the same city.
The newspaper pointed out that violent armed clashes erupted between “Janjaweed” mercenaries in the citizen farms in which they are located, between the regions of Sukna and Hoon in Al Jufra, where Haftar’s militias later intervened to break up clashes.
The sources indicated that Haftar is subject to regional and international pressure to end the presence of his militias in the city of Sirte and to end the military presence in the city, in accordance with the agreement of the 5 + 5 military committee in October last year.
It is worth noting that the agreement of the Military Committee 5 + 5 issued, October last year, stipulated the departure of foreign mercenaries from Libya, the opening of the coastal road, and the exchange of prisoners and detainees.
