A member of the political bureau of the National Salvation Movement “ruling party” Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq said: The armed opposition that launched an attack on the Selka region in Chad received its training in Libya.
In statements to “Sputnik” on Friday, Al-Siddiq added that these groups received training and support with cars and fuel from Libya during their 4-year presence there, and that “they were used as mercenaries who participated in the war between the warring Libyan factions in Libya,” and set up camps in southern Libya.
It is worth noting that the US ambassador to Libya confirmed, in statements to the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat on Friday, that the Chadian “FACT” movement rebels were fighting with Haftar and had received training by the Russian Wagner mercenaries in Libya.
