The Italian Defense Minister, “Lorenzo Guerrini”, said Thursday that his country will continue to provide the necessary support to Libya, to ensure the reorganization of its security forces.
“Guerrini” added during the session of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian House of Representatives, that his country will continue to be present in Libya through bilateral assistance missions, according to what was reported by the Italian news agency “Nova”. “Guerrini” explained that the agreement signed by his government with the Government of National Accord defines areas of cooperation in the field of military health, specialized training and demining for humanitarian purposes, according to the agency.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Defense of the Government of National Accord, Salah Addin Al-Namroush, signed in December last year, with Italian Defense Minister “Lorenzo Guerrini” in the capital, Rome, an agreement for joint military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
