On Friday, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said that the agreement signed between Tripoli and Ankara regarding the demarcation of the Libyan-Turkish maritime border is a “bilateral understanding” between the two sides.
“Di Maio”, according to the Italian agency AKI, confirmed during an interview with the newspaper “Corriere della Sera” about the possibility of canceling it, that it is up to the Libyans to talk about it.
It is worth noting that Libya signed in November 2019 the Turkish-Libyan maritime border demarcation agreement, and the Turkish parliament ratified the agreement in December 2019.
