A child was killed and his mother and two brothers were wounded, after an armed group attacked their residence in Benghazi.

The Libyan Crime Watch Organization documented the killing of a two-year-old child, and the injury of his mother and two brothers (4) and (10) years, following an armed attack on their residence near the teachers’ resort, west of Benghazi.

The organization stated that a group of armed men wearing military uniform raided the family’s residence and shot them, pointing out that the group was looking for a member of their family.

The organization condemned this criminal act, holding the official authorities in Benghazi responsible for this crime, and demanding that the perpetrators be revealed and brought to justice.

Local media reported the death of the child, “Uwais Shimbish,” and the wounding of his brothers and their mother with bullets.

The city of Benghazi is witnessing a wave of chaos and lack of security, including assassinations and enforced disappearances, the most recent of which was the killing of the leader of Haftar’s militia, Mahmoud al-Werfalli, and the kidnapping of Hanin al-Abdali the daughter of the slain lawyer.
