Member of the “13 + 13” committee, Musa Faraj, said Saturday that there are consultations among the members of the committee; To resume holding of the sessions and to complete the previous sessions on the occupants of the sovereign positions.
Faraj added, in a statement to Arraed, that the dialogue team was busy choosing the executive authority. Therefore, the completion of the procedures for selecting the occupants of the sovereign positions was postponed until after that, and the team has not yet been invited to complete the sessions.
Faraj clarified that the issue of the High National Elections Commission has not been resolved yet, and there is an opinion to maintain its current presidency. Given that the legislative elections will be scheduled at the end of this year, the posts of President of the Supreme Court and the position of Attorney General have been left, in order to apply the laws and legislation regulating these positions.
It is worth noting that the “13 + 13” committee agreed in Bozniqa, Morocco, to distribute the sovereign positions according to the three geographical regions, the region of Tripoli: the positions of the Attorney General, the Audit Bureau, the Cyrenaica region: the Central Bank, the Administrative Control Authority, the Fezzan region: the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Supreme Court.
