Al-Ra’id: The parliament’s session will be held in Tripoli next Monday to discuss the government’s general budget.

Member of the Libyan House of Representatives, Mohammed Al-Ra’id, said that an official session of the House of Representatives will be held next Monday in Tripoli. To discuss the state’s general budget.

Al-Ra’id explained – in a statement to Sputnik – on Wednesday, that they will discuss the budget and may make some amendments to it, provided that it is approved Tuesday, noting that “Aqila Saleh” has not invited the deputies to hold a session in Tripoli yet and has not commented on the issue.

Al-Ra’id confirmed that the representatives of the Western Region had previously agreed with the “Barqa deputies” that the last session would be in Benghazi and for certain reasons, it was moved to Tobruk, and the next session in Tripoli was within this agreement.

Al-Ra’id stated that the Parliament’s Finance Committee discussed the state’s general budget for 2021 submitted by the National Unity Government to study it, make observations on it, and present it before the House of Representatives.

It is worth noting that the Libyan National Unity Government, headed by Abdulhamid Dbaiba, officially took power last Tuesday, during an official ceremony with the Government of National Accord.
