A Libyan-Tunisian agreement to revive trade activity between the two countries.

President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, agreed with Tunisian President Qais Saeed, on Wednesday, to give a new impetus to commercial activity between the two countries, and to develop an action plan to activate the investment side.

The meeting at the council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli – according to the official page of the Tunisian presidency – explained that the investment side is through facilitating transit procedures between the two countries and facilitating financial procedures between the Central Bank of Tunisia and the Central Bank of Libya.

The two sides stressed the need to exchange experiences and intensify cooperation in various other fields. To meet the major challenges of the two countries, by expediting the convening of the Joint Higher Committee, in a way that meets the expectations of the two peoples.

The meeting, which was attended by Tunisian President Qais Saeed for the first time after assuming the Tunisian presidency, was attended by Vice Presidents Abdallah Al-Lafi, Mussa Al-Kouni, Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush and Minister of Economy and Trade Mohamed Al-Hawij.
