Tunisian Prime Minister Hicham El Mechichi expressed his hope to develop relations with Libya to the level of strategic partnership in the interest of both countries.
During a phone call with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manifi, on Saturday, El Mechichi stressed the common belief in the unity of the two countries’ destinies, values, solidarity, cooperation and complementarity between them.
For his part, Al-Manifi emphasized Libya’s desire to intensify relations with Tunisia, cooperation and trade exchange, stressing the status of the Tunisian people with the Libyans.
It is worth noting that the Tunisian President, Qais Saeid, had confirmed on the 10th of March to the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, that Libya’s security and stability is part of Tunisia’s security, and that it would open broader prospects for the two countries for cooperation and an integrated and solid partnership.
