“Al-Tabakli” confirms that a session of the representatives will be held in Tripoli in the presence of Aqila’s deputies and “Araid” excludes holding the session in Sirte.

Aisha al-Tabakli, a member of Parliament, confirmed in a statement to Arraed Monday that the members of parliament will hold a consultative session at the Bab Al-Bahr Hotel in Tripoli, in the presence of the deputies of Aqila Saleh, Fawzi Alnwairi and Hamid Houma.

In a related context, member of the House of Representatives Muhammad al-Ra’id said that holding the parliament session in Sirte is not logistically appropriate, because the city’s airport is occupied and in the event of going, the plane will land at Sidra airport, and from there they will take land transportation to Sirte, a distance of 200 kilometers.

Al-Ra’id said that changing the Presidency of the Council of Representatives will be the first item during the upcoming session of the Council in Sabratta, and changing or amending the internal regulations, not granting confidence to the government, pointing out that granting confidence to the new government requires holding a quorum session, in the presence of at least 90 deputies, and the approval of the new government requires half of the attendees +1.

Al-Ra’id expected that the Council would hold a session in order to give confidence to the appointed government next week.

It is worth noting that newspaper sources confirmed the presence of more than 90 MPs in Tripoli for coordination over the venue of the council session devoted to granting confidence to the government, and changing the council presidency
