A confidential UN report reveals the involvement of Blackwater company in breaching the arms embargo on Libya to support Haftar.

The American newspaper “New York Times”, Saturday, published leaks from a confidential report by UN experts indicating the involvement of the former head of the “Blackwater” company, “Eric Prince,” in supporting Khalifa Haftar in his aggression against Tripoli with mercenaries and attack drones, in violation of the arms embargo on Libya.

The newspaper added that the report, which was submitted to the Security Council on Thursday, showed how foreign mercenaries were deployed in eastern Libya in 2019, as they planned to form groups to pursue and kill Libyan leaders, by using a commandos force especially of the names that were identified as potential targets, at a cost of $ 80 million.

The report indicated that there was a deal with Jordan to buy aircraft, where a person close to Prince went to Jordan to tell them that his work was approved by the highest authorities, the Jordanian side was not convinced and the deal was stopped.
