The Supreme Elections Commission confirms its readiness to conduct and organize the upcoming elections.

The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, affirmed, on Wednesday, the Commission’s readiness to conduct and organize the upcoming elections in accordance with standards of integrity and transparency, and take into account technical considerations that guarantee the citizen’s right to access the ballot boxes.

During his participation in the third meeting of the Constitutional Committee held in the Egyptian city of Hurghada, Al-Sayeh presented the technical aspects and time frameworks of the constitutional process, the referendum on the draft constitution, as well as the mechanism of procedures for the presidential and parliamentary electoral process announced to be held on December 24 of this year, according to the official page of the Commission.

It is worth noting that the participants in the meeting of the Constitutional Committee in the Egyptian city of Hurghada agreed on Tuesday, to complete their discussions from 9 to 11 February, and to invite the High Elections Commission to attend and participate in the discussions, leading to setting the date for the referendum and related procedures and to submit what is agreed upon to the two councils Representatives, Supreme State and the United Nations Mission; To activate it and provide support for holding the referendum.
