On Thursday, a member of the House of Representatives and a member of the Political Dialogue Forum, Rabia Abo Rass, accused the new President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manifi, of jumping on the spirit of consensus and Monopolizing the scene, after his meeting with Khalifa Haftar at his residence in Al-Rajma.
On its Facebook page, Abo Rass considered that Al-Manifi went to Haftar “who destroyed the capital”, throwing sacrifices behind his back, describing him as “The crow that imitated the gait of the pigeon.”
Abo Rass explained that visiting Al-Manifi to Barqa and meeting its people, and leadership, and taking a headquarters for in the heart of its capital, does not justify him for standing with Haftar “as if he was his father who made him” likening Al-Manifi to “a statue made of chocolate that is eaten at hunger when Quraish was an icon of ignorance.
Abo Rass confirmed that she is in favor of visiting Barqa and make peace with it, but not at the expense of the “concessions and sacrifices” that Tripoli made to all Libyans in the Tunis-Geneva dialogue.
It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manifi, met with Khalifa Haftar during his first visit to Benghazi since his election on February 5.
