On Wednesday, Egyptian President Abdulfattah El-Sisi congratulated the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, and the head of the National Unity Government, Abdulhamid Dbaiba; for gaining the confidence of the members of for Political Dialogue forum to head the Council and the government.
El-Sisi confirmed, during a phone call he made with Al-Manifi and Dbaiba, his country’s readiness to help Libya. In order to reach stability, and extending the path of historical relations between the two countries, according to the official spokesman for the Egyptian presidency, Bassam Rady.
El-Sisi expressed his aspiration that the selection of the new Libyan authority would mark the beginning of a new era in which all Libyan state institutions would work in a unified manner. In an effort to end the Libyan division, he affirmed that Egypt will continue to provide support and assistance for the benefit of the Libyan brothers, whether on the economic, security and military levels.
It is worth noting that the members of for Political Dialogue Forum chose, last Friday, the new executive authority in Libya, represented by the Presidential Council consisting of Mohammed Al-Manifi, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, and Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbaiba with 39 votes.
