Russia sends an official invitation to Almanifi to visit Moscow and confirms its support for the new executive authority.

The official spokesman for the Libyan Foreign Ministry, Mohamed Al-Qiblawi, said in a statement to Arraed, Monday, that Russia has officially invited the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, to visit Moscow, confirming its support for the new executive authority in Libya

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, confirmed during a telephone conversation with Al-Manifi and the head of the national unity government, Abdulhamid Dbaiba, his country’s readiness to work with them and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the interest of developing Russian-Libyan relations, according to Russia Today.

Lavrov pointed out that Moscow was one of the first capitals that welcomed the results of the new executive authority elections in Libya, stressing that it has difficult tasks in front of it to be implemented, and wished success in their work.

The President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed al-Manaifi, and the Prime Minister, Abdulhamid al-Manifi, and Dbaiba praised the position adopted by Russia throughout the crisis in the country, noting the constructive and active role of Moscow in passing the settlement process based on the principle of involving representatives of all historical regions and Libyan political forces, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry statement.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, received an invitation from the French President, Emmanuel Macron, to visit Paris as soon as possible.
