Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Boritta said Sunday that his country hopes that the new executive authority will carry out the tasks and duties that the Libyan people expect of it.
Boritta added, according to the Moroccan News Agency, that Morocco considers the choice of the executive authority an important step in the direction of unifying Libyan institutions, supporting stability, responding to the daily needs of Libyans, and creating conditions for the organization of the next elections scheduled to be held on December 24, 2021.
Boritta confirmed that Rabat will continue to work with the new executive authority in Libya and all Libyan institutions. For the success of the upcoming elections and support the stability and development in Libya.
It is worth noting that last September, Morocco hosted dialogue sessions between the House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State, and the Moroccan city of Skhirat witnessed the signing of the Skhirat Agreement in December 2015.
