The Tunisian Attorney General announced that the suspicious parcel that reached the Tunisian presidency had no trace of a toxic, narcotic, dangerous or explosive substance.
Mohsen El-Daly, a spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Office at the Tunis Primary Court , said Friday that according to the results of the analyzes conducted by the Sub-Department of Criminal and Scientific Laboratories at the Ministry of Interior, it was found that the parcel did not contain any suspicious material, – according to what the Deutsche Welle website reported –
In a related context, the Tunisian presidency announced that the Director of the Presidential office, Nadia Akasha, went to the hospital to conduct medical examinations, after she opened a parcel addressed to President Qais Saied, and spoke about the attempt to poison him, confirming that Saied did not touch the expulsion and he is in good health.
It is worth noting that Tunisian media reported on Wednesday that a poisoned parcel with “ricin” arrived at the presidential palace, and that President Qais Saied was exposed to an attempt of poisoning.
