The UN Acting Representative to Libya, Stephanie Williams, said that the upcoming meeting of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Libya is expected to address the unification of the exchange rate, praising the progress “made” in the economic track of the dialogue.

In a statement issued by the mission on Saturday, Williams praised the progress made by the participants in the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, and their determination to participate in the political process.

And “Williams” announced the summary of the voting process that took place on Friday, in which 71 members participated, and the results were 39 votes in favor of the second proposal, 24 members in favor of the third proposal, and 8 members in favor of the tenth proposal.

“Williams” affirmed that the mission respects the decision of the members of the Forum for Political Dialogue, which was taken during the direct meeting held in Tunis, which stipulates that decisions must be taken on the basis of consensus.

It is worth noting that the Libyan political dialogue began to hold its sessions in the Tunisian capital on the 29th of last November, during which those selected for attendance did not agree on specific mechanisms for selecting the executive powers.
