On Monday, the Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashagha, discussed with the Tunisian ambassador to Libya, Al-Asaad Al-Ajili, security support, and resolved some of the problems of the Ras Ajdir border crossing, to ensure the smooth procedures and easy movement of citizens of both countries.
The two sides discussed – according to the official page of the ministry – cooperation between the two countries, stressing the strong bond between them, and the positive role of Tunisia in supporting the Libyan political track and dialogue.
For his part, Al-Ajili expressed his country’s happiness for the success of the 5 + 5 joint military committee meetings, in a way that enhances security stability in Libya.
It is worth noting that the Libyan land border with Tunisia at the Ras Ajdir crossing opened in early November after a closure of more than 8 months, following the outbreak of the Corona pandemic in the world.
