Erdogan: The Turkish intervention contributed to reviving the political solution in Libya.

Turkish President “Rejep Tayyip Erdogan” said that the Turkish intervention greatly contributed to reviving the political solution in Libya.

On Saturday, Erdogan said that the training and advisory support provided by Turkey to the Libyan government prevented the country from slipping into further internal warfare, and paved the way for the United Nations-led political process, according to Anadolu Agency.

Erdogan stressed that Turkey continues to support the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum, with the aim of reaching a permanent ceasefire.

It is worth noting that the reconciliation government signed on November 27 last year two memoranda of understanding with Turkey in security and military cooperation and defining areas of maritime jurisdiction.
