Pompeo and Le Drian underline the political solution in Libya.

On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stressed, with his French counterpart, Jean-Yves Le Drian, the need to find a political solution to the Libyan crisis under the auspices of the United Nations.

In press statements, the two sides stressed the importance of NATO and the joint efforts between the two countries in “issues of democracy and security in the African Coast region.”

It is worth noting that the US embassy in Libya confirmed Monday that it stands with all Libyan parties seeking a peaceful dialogue, and rejecting foreign intervention.
