The Italian Foreign Minister, “Luigi De Maio”, confirmed that Turkey is an indispensable interlocutor on some priority files such as Libya, immigration and energy policies.
In an interview with the French newspaper Le Monde, De Maio said that despite “the many unilateral measures that we have condemned,” Turkey remains a strategic partner and ally in NATO.
It is worth noting that the relationship between Ankara on the one hand and Paris and Athens on the other hand had witnessed tensions, following the policy of French President Emmanuel Macron towards Muslims.
