On Tuesday, Amnesty International called on the United States of America to stop selling 18 MQ-9B drones to the UAE. Against the background of its involvement in the killing of civilians in Libya and its crimes in Yemen.
The organization said, according to a report, that it had obtained ample evidence that the UAE had used armed aircraft in Libya in violation of the arms embargo imposed by the United Nations for some time.
The organization added that the UAE used drones, to target civilian homes and health facilities, including field hospitals and ambulances.
It is worth noting that the British newspaper “The Guardian” confirmed, last October, that the UAE continues to send weapons to Libya, despite the United Nations resolution to ban sending weapons, using Egyptian airspace and territory.
