The Acting UN envoy to Libya, Stephanie Williams, said, on Sunday, that the principle of accountability and restoring the rights of Libyans must be the first and basic criterion in any comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis.
In an interview with Libya Al-Ahrar, Williams confirmed that the mission has no desire to exclude anyone from the dialogue committee, noting that the process of selecting members of the dialogue committee took place after taking lessons from recent years and the various past political processes.
Williams explained that removing foreign mercenaries must be included in the final agreement, denying the mission’s right to skip the work of the founding body or ignore its work and the draft constitution.
Williams added that the dialogue sessions must include a specific road map that leads Libyans to final elections, which is the most important goal, according to Williams.
It is worth noting that the sessions of the Libyan-Libyan Dialogue Forum will start Monday, November 9th, in the Tunisian capital.
