The Supreme Council of the State and the representatives of Tobruk confirm their responsibility to preserve the democratic Track.

Both the Libyan Supreme Council of State and the Tobruk Parliament stressed the importance of assuming their responsibilities to maintain the democratic track and enable the executive authority to prepare for the conduct of legislative and presidential elections on a constitutional basis.

This came in a statement issued by the two councils at the conclusion of a meeting they held in the Moroccan city of Abo Zniqa, during which they discussed how to manage the anticipated Libyan political dialogue in Tunisia, the legal and professional criteria for selecting figures to hold the highest positions in the executive authority, and the work priorities for the executive’s in the executive phase, according to Turkish Anatolia.

The Moroccan Abo zniqa meeting, which began Tuesday, between the delegations of the Supreme Council of State and the Tobruk Parliament, comes within the third round of the continuous Libyan dialogue between the two councils.
