Bensouda: Al-Werfalli deliberately killed 47 people, and we call on Aqeela Saleh to hand him over.

The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, “Fatou Bensouda,” said that Mahmoud Al-Werfalli deliberately executed 47 people in Benghazi and its environs, during the military operations known as “Al Karama” “under the leadership of the militia commander in the eastern region, Khalifa Haftar.”

“Bensouda” indicated – in a report – Friday, that the so-called “Libyan National Army” and the civil authorities in Benghazi did not facilitate the arrest of Al-Werfalli, or hand him over to the court, nor did they take concrete steps, to hold him accountable for the crimes he committed.

Bensouda urged all countries to remind Aqeela Saleh and Wanis Bo Khamada to take all necessary steps to arrest Al-Werfalli and bring him to court.

It is worth noting that the Prosecutor of the Criminal Court “Fatou Bensouda” renewed in November 2019 the request to the authorities in Libya to hand over three persons wanted by the court: Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, Mahmoud Al-Werfali, and Al-Tohami Khaled, to hold them accountable for the crimes they committed.
