The World Health Organization announced, on Wednesday, that more than two million cases of coronavirus have been detected during the past week, noting that it is the highest rate recorded in one week since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The organization said – according to the Russian agency Sputnik – that last week the largest number of cases of corona reported globally since the beginning of the epidemic, with the recording of more than two million new cases.
In the same context, the Director-General of the organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus, stated that countries are being exhausted after months of fighting the epidemic that resulted in the death of more than 1.1 million people, calling for the continuation of the battle on the aftermath of the White House chief of staff announced that the United States would not be able to control the pandemic, It focuses more on drugs and vaccines, according to him.
It is worth noting that the number of people infected with Coronavirus in the whole world reached 44 million and 358 thousand infections.
