The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it is in contact with the Libyan authorities to secure the release of seven of its citizens, who were kidnapped last month in the south west of Libya.
On Friday, the Foreign Ministry confirmed that the government is making all possible efforts, in consultation and coordination with the Libyan authorities and international organizations, to secure the release of the kidnapped who were working in a construction and oil supply company. The Foreign Ministry stated that the kidnappers contacted the person responsible for them at work and showed him pictures, as evidence that they are fine and in good health.
It is worth noting that the Indian workers were kidnapped on September 14th from the Shwerif area, while they were on their way to Tripoli airport to return to their country.
