Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan reaffirmed his country’s support for Libya in all forms for the sake of the prosperity of the Libyan people, and that Turkey will strengthen its relations with the Libyan government.
During his meeting with the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, Erdogan stressed the importance of registering the memorandum of understanding signed between Turkey and Libya related to defining maritime jurisdiction areas in the Mediterranean at the United Nations, according to the TRT Arabic website.
The Turkish and Libyan delegations discussed bilateral relations and regional developments with the participation of the Turkish Foreign Minister “Mevlut Cavusoglu”, the Libyan “Mohamed Sayala”, the Turkish Interior “Suleiman Soyla”, the Libyan “Fathi Bashagha”, the Turkish defense “Hulusi Akar” and the Libyan “Salah Addin Al-Namroush”.
It is worth noting that the Turkish presidential spokesman, Ibrahim Kalan, said on Sunday that Turkey will continue to work with those chosen to head the Presidential Council.
