Chavushoglu: France was irritated when Haftar failed to control all of Libya.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said, Wednesday, that France was annoyed when Haftar failed to achieve control over all of Libya.

Çavuşoglu added, in an interview reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency, that French President Emmanuel Macron is standing on the wrong side in Libya, indicating that France had hoped that Haftar would be able to extend his control over all of Libya in a short period.

Çavuşoglu explained that France then invented the story of the Turkish navy’s harassment of a ship for them in the Mediterranean, and they could not provide any evidence to support their allegations, but we were able to prove that these allegations are not true.

It is worth noting that Turkish Foreign Minister Çavuşoglu confirmed in an interview with a Turkish channel in mid-September that the Turkish intervention in Libya contributed to achieving a balance between the sides of the conflict and tipping the scale in favor of the legitimate government.
