Turkey: We call on the European Union to give up its bias towards the coup leaders in Libya.

On Tuesday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry accused the European Union of siding with the coup leaders In Libya, after a Turkish transport company was included in the sanctions list, for allegedly violating the arms embargo on Libya.

In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry called on the European Union to abandon its biased stance and move on with Turkey if they want security and stability in the region, according to the statement.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry considered the European “Irini” operation to ban arms supplies to Libya as a reward for Haftar and as a punishment for the legitimate government in Tripoli.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry indicated that the European Union considers the aid provided to the reconciliation government a breach, while ignoring the countries and companies that support Haftar, especially the UAE.

It is worth noting that the European Union imposed, on Monday, sanctions against 3 companies, which are Turkish, Jordanian and Kazakh, under the pretext of violating the arms embargo imposed on Libya.
